You can't run a serious e-commerce business in Poland without InPost. Customers expect Paczkomat® parcel lockers, and not offering that option at checkout is one of the main reasons for abandoned carts. That's why we built a full integration between Odoo 19 and the InPost ShipX API, automating the entire logistics process — from the customer picking a pickup point, all the way to printing the label and calling a courier.
What do you get with the InPost ShipX integration in Odoo?
Our module isn't just a "delivery method" — it's a complete toolkit for handling courier and Paczkomat® shipments, built directly into Odoo's standard document flow (Inventory and Sales).
- Paczkomat® map at checkout (Geowidget): during checkout, the customer picks a pickup point on a convenient InPost map. The map automatically finds the right town based on the delivery address entered.
- Picking a Paczkomat® from the backend: creating a manual order for a B2B customer? The quotation has a "Choose Paczkomat®" button that opens the map and blocks order confirmation until a specific point is selected.
- Automatic labels (PDF, ZPL, EPL): the moment you click "Validate" on a delivery in Odoo, the system creates the shipment via the ShipX API, pays for it, fetches the label (with native ZPL 300 DPI support for thermal printers), and immediately stores the tracking number.
- Pickup requests (courier): select the day's packages and request an InPost courier pickup with one click. You can also fully automate it — Odoo will order a courier automatically every day at a time you choose. Pickup requests have their own status list.
- Cash on delivery support: the system automatically calculates the cash-on-delivery amount (the unpaid portion of the order, accounting for partial deliveries) and adds the goods insurance InPost requires, in PLN.
Full control over costs and errors
The module works both for pre-paid accounts and for companies with a standing courier contract with InPost. Delivery prices can be pulled directly from the ShipX price calculator, or based on standard Odoo pricing rules (including a markup or free-shipping thresholds).
We also took care of the engineering side. Errors from InPost (e.g. an invalid postal code, exceeding size limits) are shown clearly, field by field, with a specific request identifier ready to include in a support ticket. You also get a sandbox test environment and a built-in "Test connection" button, so you can set up the integration safely and stress-free in 5 minutes.
